I purchased this this bolt handle for aesthetic reasons. When I installed it I found it more appealing and found that the operation of the bolt and lock up to be a little smoother than the factory bolt handle.

I did not have to remove or fit mine. However others may vary. This bolt handle fits nice in the palm and is not oversized in my opinion.

It is light weight so it does not add excess weight on the top of the receiver if you are concerned about that aspect. Read more product reviews.
